David Pistrui, Ph.D. is the founder and managing director of Acumen Dynamics, LLC a collection of intellectually and culturally diverse executives, entrepreneurs, scholars, and thought leaders who work at the intersection of people, technology, and enterprise. Under his leadership, Acumen Dynamics has worked with a wide range of organizations in over 60 countries including Ford, Fiat Chrysler, Intel, AWS, Autodesk, Kelly Services, Tenneco, Siemens, GM, Eaton, Dentsu, FedEx, KPMG, AT Kearney, Motorola, Wrigley, IBM, and GrubHub, among many others.

Dr. Pistrui currently holds faculty positions in engineering and technology management at Purdue University and the University of Detroit Mercy. He is the author and co-author of over 100 peer-reviewed papers and articles. Most recently Dr. Pistrui was recognized for his work earning best paper and best conference session awards in the American Society for Engineering Education for his work relating to the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) and education reform.

Dr. Pistrui holds a Ph.D. in Applied Economics (Cum Laude) Entrepreneurship and Strategy, from Universität Autonoma de Barcelona, Spain, and a Ph.D., in Sociology from the University of Bucharest, Romania. He earned a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies degree from DePaul University (Chicago), and a Bachelor of Business Administration, in Marketing and Economics from Western Michigan University.
