Mark is the founder (2010) of Bluewater Advisory, a boutique consulting firm specializing in three primary areas:
1. Leadership development
2. Organizational lift
3. Succession
An engaging, direct, and people-centric leader himself, Mark is a trusted advisor for several family businesses and closely held firms in a range of industries, serves on a few client Boards, and serves as Bluewater’s succession Principal. Mark is appreciated by his clients for having an objective eye, helping business leaders widen their peripheral vision.
In addition to being a regular speaker and facilitator for CEO groups around the U.S., Mark has also been honored with several awards, including:
- The 2018 Bill Brooks Impact Award, which recognizes an individual exemplifying the influence and spirit that the late Bill Brooks brought to sales, assessment, and talent management.
- The 2017 Bud Bowers Contributor of the Year Award, which recognizes extraordinary contributions and leadership in assessments and human capital management.
- The 2013 Target Training International’s Blue Diamond Award, which recognizes trusted partners for their cooperation, dedication, and contribution to clients and Target Training International.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and was awarded an Executive Master of Business Administration degree with honors from Loyola University.
Mark resides in Sykesville, MD, and Ocean City, MD with his wife Janet. His hobbies include saltwater fishing and hiking. In the community, Mark proudly serves on Carroll Hospital’s Board of Directors and is former Chair of Carroll Hospital Foundation.
